About Franci Hepburn

Franci Hepburn

I live in Perth, Western Australia. I hold a Master of Art and Design from Curtin University. I also teach at a secondary school. My art is sometimes sombre and sometimes playful, just like me. I used to paint large, bright canvases. A fascination with botanicals changed my practice dramatically. This immersion in nature changed my aesthetics, and I searched for a method to reflect that change. The repetition of line and point became the focus of my latest body of work. Strict rules on materials, methods, and methodology help me focus on creativity instead of making choices. Currently, my work is exhibited for the Mandorla Award. You can find me here https://francihepburnart.com/. and on FB https://www.facebook.com/FranciHepburnArtFB/
